The Aro Valley Fair is happening on Saturday the 26th of March and will
feature fantastic bands on two stages, stalls with food and crafts, and a
white elephant. This year it runs from 10am - 10pm, with an all ages gig in
the newly revamped hall from 6 - 10pm. Bands and musicians on the line up
include: The Family Cactus, Upper Hutt Posse, Eva Prowse, Seth Frigthening,
Terror of the Deep, Little Bark, Jessie James, and KazaamBLAM.

The stalls include some exciting textiles, pottery, baking, photography,
art, clothing, comics, and delicious food for eating on the day and  for
taking home.

We are still looking for volunteers to help with the running of the fair,
and if you're keen to help our with this community event please email
[email protected] to register your interest and we'll get back to
you to discuss what you could do.


Would you like a stall at the Fair? There are still a few stall sites
available, and you can download an application here.

Bands confirmed so far include: Upper Hutt Posse, The Family Cactus, Eva
Prowse, and The Wall Street Jumpers, with many more to be announced.

In addition to our main stage there will also be an acoustic/low key stage
this year, with local groups performing.

We are right in the thick of organising the Aro Valley Fair 2011, which will
be happening on the 26th of March this year. Stay tuned to see our flash
poster (it's hot, courtesy of Mt Cook based artist Alice Baxter!) lining the
the streets of Te Aro.

Come to Aro Valley and buy an ecologically sound, good ole' kiwi, locally farmed, pinus radiata Christmas Tree, and feel the nostalgia as you soak up that piney smell!

Our annual Christmas Tree fundraiser is about to begin, with all profits going to the Aro Valley Pre-school, Te Aro School, and the Aro Valley Community Centre .We will be selling trees from the 5th to the 23rd of December at 48 Aro Street, in the pavillion behind the Aro Valley Community Centre. 

We will be open from 12 - 7pm on weekdays, and from 10am - 7pm on weekends. There is vehicle access, or you can choose a tree and arrange to have it delivered for a modest fee.

P.S. - On Saturday January 15th we will be mulching Christmas Trees outside the bunker as an environmentally concious fundraiser. Bring your tree along and take home some mulch for the garden - the ideal solution!
